Easter egg hunts, a long weekend and eating lots of chocolate are what we are all looking forward this weekend. Decorating for Easter is now a well established trend and could soon be nearly as big as Christmas.

Decorating your table for Easter can be as easy as filling a variety of vases with pastel coloured flowers to give your home a fresh spring feel. Flowers are always a great way to theme your home without going completely overboard and spending a fortune on decorations. Not only do they look beautiful but they are also a simple way to transform your table and home to make it feel more like Easter.

TABLE DECORATIONS

A pastel coloured table cloth will instantly make the room feel spring like and if scattered with little bunny decorations in bright colours it can transform your table into a real Easter display. For a cost effective way to add colour to your table fill old jam jars will jelly beans or other sweets, not only do they look pretty but you can also eat the decorations after!

Eggs epitomise Easter so no table is complete without some eggs! Decorating eggs is a fabulously fun way of getting the kids involved and many stores have kits that enable you to dye the egg shells in a huge variety of colours. Decorated eggs are a simple idea that can look beautiful dotted around the table to add that extra touch of Easter to your lunch.

FINISHING TOUCHES

As the sun has been out this week then if you are entertaining this Easter don’t forget your outside space! Just because it’s outside don’t neglect the space, it can still look themed and pretty as well. Bunting is perfect for any occasion as it can suit both inside across a mirror or mantel place, or outside across a doorway or window. If you are feeling especially creative then you can make your own quite easily, if not just pop out to the shop and get some as it really does jazz up any space.

Whether you want to go all out with the Easter theme by filling your room and table with bunnies and eggs or keep it simple with pastel colours and some flowers and sweets in a jar. However you decide to decorate your home for Easter some bunting will make it feel extra special.
